  • How to take care of your woollen items
Wool Blanket Care Package Guide To ensure your wool blanket remains soft, luxurious, and long-lasting, here’s a advice guide: Firstly make sure your item really needs a wash. Unlike manmade materials, wool does not need to be washed frequently. Try gentle spot cleaning and regular airing instead. 1. Washing Instructions • Spot Clean: For small stains, use a damp cloth with mild soap to gently blot the stain. Avoid scrubbing, as it can damage the fibres. • Hand Wash: Use cool water and a gentle, wool-specific detergent. Soak for 5-10 minutes, then gently agitate and rinse thoroughly. • Machine Wash: If permitted by the label, use a wool setting with cold water and a delicate detergent. Place the blanket in a mesh bag to prevent snagging. • Dry Cleaning: For more delicate or heirloom pieces, professional dry cleaning is recommended. 2. Drying Instructions • Air Dry Only: Lay the blanket flat on a clean towel or drying rack. Avoid direct sunlight, which can fade colours. Never tumble dry as heat can shrink wool. 3. Storage Tips • Avoid Moths: Store in a breathable cotton bag with cedar blocks or lavender sachets to repel moths. Avoid plastic storage bags, as they can trap moisture. • Fold, Don’t Hang: Hanging wool blankets can cause them to stretch or lose shape. Fold neatly and store in a cool, dry place.

  • Tell me about your shop
The Warehouse, Station Road, Llandeilo, SA19 6NG The Warehouse is over 100 years old and was build as a Farmers Co-Operative and was a big part of the community. The old steam trains were entering the lower ground floor to deliver animal feeds which was stored in bays and bagged ready to be delivered to the farms on horse and cart. It was sold 40 years ago to an antiques dealer who then retired in 2019 and was purchased by Davies family. We spent 8 months renovating the building to what you see today. Our shop spans over three floors. There is free parking directly outside. Unfortunately due to the age of the building the shop is not wheelchair friendly. The range of goods at Llandeilo Store includes Welsh Blankets, Wool blankets and throws, homeware, gifts, clothing.
